My coaching process

Understand

Through my intake process, I will seek to develop a holistic understanding of you and the challenges you are seeking support with. You will start by completing an onboarding questionnaire and an intake conversation, sharing all the aspects of your work and life that are relevant to your growth, from your career history to your daily habits and your deepest ambitions.

Align

Together, we will align on a clear purpose and set of specific, growth-oriented outcomes for our work together. These outcomes will focus on developing capacities that will support you through our coaching program and beyond. Based on your specific focus and needs, we may work on reigniting your curiosity, developing your emotional attunement, or building your resilience.

Take Action

With our aligned coaching outcomes, I will invite you into self-reflection activities and new daily practices, as well as offer resources to support you throughout our program. We will begin to work with the day-to-day challenges you are facing with your coaching outcomes as a guide to the direction of your growth. Throughout our journey I will offer additional exercises, such strengths and values assessments to support your self-knowledge and alignment.

FAQs

What is coaching?

Coaching is process to support human growth and development. My practice is based on Integral Coaching methodology, a school of coaching that is informed by Eastern and Western developmental models. I take a holistic approach, helping my clients develop and integrate across the streams of their life: cognitively, emotionally, somatically (body awareness), relationally, and spiritually. Through the process, you will gain new insight about yourself and develop capacity to put that insight into action.

How is coaching different than therapy?

Coaching and therapy are both hugely valuable tools to support your growth and get unstuck, and there is a lot of overlap between the approaches. Whereas my approach lends itself to navigating forward-looking action and growth, the tools of therapy are powerful in working on deeply-held patterns and trauma. Many of my coaching clients are also in therapy, and I often support clients in seeking therapy as we uncover areas that would benefit from specific therapeutic support.

What is your pricing?

I'm committed to making my work inclusive, accessible, and affordable. My pricing starts at $300 per month for coaching programs, and I offer a variety of payment options and a flexible cancellation policy. A percentage of my coaching spots are sliding scale pricing for financial accessibility, primarily for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled individuals. Schedule a time to talk to me to learn more about the program, the investment, and whether it’s a good fit for you.

If you are employed, many organizations offer professional development funding to cover all or part of the cost of coaching. I am also available to be work as an in-house coach for your organization.

How do I know we will be a good fit?

The best way to determine this is to see if we have chemistry during a free consult conversation. My coaching process is not for everyone. The holistic approach I take requires a desire to learn more deeply about yourself, and a willingness to let go of specific measures of external success. If you are looking for a quick fix to achieve some career milestone, I am probably not the coach for you. If you are looking to develop greater capacity for self-awareness, resilience, and compassion, we might be a great fit. My clients include entrepreneurs, social justice leaders, healers, artists, and folks looking to find more purpose and meaning in their work.

What is the frequency and length of coaching programs?

For first-time coaching clients, my coaching programs are 6-12 months. My approach requires a significant time commitment to generate deep insight, practice putting that insight into action, and developing long-term capacities. Personal growth does not happen quickly or linearly, so my programs are designed to support you through the setbacks that inevitably arise.

I meet with most clients for 60-minute bi-weekly session over this time frame, and often move to weekly sessions to support clients around specific, time-bound challenges (such as career transitions). My coaching programs also include email support and check-in calls.

Am I ready for coaching?

If you are feeling stuck and have reached the limits of what you can change and achieve on your own, coaching can likely help. If you feel ready to make a commitment to your own learning and growth, let’s talk.
